Updating the blog
Ok so I realize that I haven't updated my blog for many months. The following is the update for 2009. As most people know I have been in school for the past 4 years. I have finally graduated and now I have no excuse as to why my blog is behind. I do think that I am suffering from PSTD (Post School Traumatic Disorder). I really have had a hard time getting back into normal life, whatever that may be. I have been so busy for so long that I think that sitting on the couch staring at the wall is a great accomplishment some days. I am sure that I will get over the trauma soon. I am so happy to be done with school and be able to move on with my career and life. I have been so fortunate to have such a supportive husband and family through all of this craziness. I hope that I can finally answer the question that Kolton asked me "Mom how many times do you have to graduate from college before you are done?" I can now say 3. (Associate Degree 1996, Bachelors Degree 2007, and Masters Degree 2009.)
The whole Mitchell family came to our house on Dec 26th. This is the first time that they have all been together in about 5 years. It was so great to have everyone together. We ate yummy dinner, opened presents, and played ping pong, rock band and just hung out and had fun.
Through all of our craziness, we decided to add another puppy to the mix. This is Grizzly our chocolate flavored puppy. He has many names, his papered name is Remington Green River, he answers to: Fatty, Winston P. Puddles, Glizzlby, and most recently Johnny One Nut (he has an issue he would be embarassed if he knew I was talking about it).
Halloween 2009, Cayla, Chase and Cole were at our house for Halloween, Chara was in the hospital so we had the kids. We had a lot of fun first coming up with their costumes at the last minute and then going trick-or-treating. Another time that helped me appreciate all my Mom did for us, (and I only had 5 kids that weekend).
More updates.....
During the summer of '09 I had to do a lot of clinical hours at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake for school. My boys had so much fun with all the family in Northern Utah. Uncle Kent took them fly fishing and boating, they got to do a lot of other fun things like: learning about Uncle Stan's old truck, mowing lawns all over North Ogden and Pleasant View (yes Kamren thinks this if fun), swimming, boating, playing, hanging out and best of all getting to know their family that lives far away. Thank you to all that helped us get through this busy time.
